Description
Seven Signatories of the Irish Proclamation — 110th Anniversary Print
On Easter Monday 1916, seven men put their names to a document that would change the course of Irish history. They knew what it meant. Every signature was a death sentence.
This print brings together Jim FitzPatrick’s acclaimed portraits of all seven signatories — Thomas J. Clarke, Seán Mac Diarmada, Thomas MacDonagh, Padraic Pearse, Éamonn Ceannt, James Connolly and Joseph Plunkett — with the Irish Proclamation of Independence at its centre. Each portrait is rendered in Jim’s distinctive pen-and-ink style, built from years of research and an artist’s compulsion to do justice to these men.
This is a signed and numbered limited edition of 110 — marking the 110th anniversary of the Easter Rising. Each print is personally embossed by Jim FitzPatrick in his studio in Ireland. A3 size on matt textured paper.
