VAGABONDS: THE PENCIL CARTOUCHE. CRUSIN’ IN THE LIZZY MOBILE.

When my friend, Thin Lizzy frontman Philip Lynott, asked me to design and produce the artwork for the cover of his new album he stressed he wanted several little items included; little spider for himself, other hidden stuff for Brian and Eric but the most important addition for Philip was the Lizzy mobile. It had to be on the cover and so it was and Philip loved the finished cover big time. Fine album too with some of my all-time favourite Lizzy tracks on it.

I always wanted to do a much larger stand-alone drawing of this funny little motif featured on the cover of Vagabonds so here we have it as a pencil cartouche. Yep, the Lizzy mobile comes alive once more.

Printed on Fabriano Artistico Matte, Textured, Natural White 310gsm Watercolour Rag Paper.
Each cartouche is drawn by the artist Jim FitzPatrick in 2B pencil. The print is signed in metallic ink and embossed for authenticity.
