This is a painting from my book THE BOOK OF CONQUESTS.

In this, the last battle of Moytura between the Fir Bolg Tribe and the Tuatha De Danann, Streng, the great champion of the Fir Bolg and Nuada, the High King of the Tuatha De Danann, meet for the first time alone to dual in combat.
With a mighty thrust, Streng cleaved flesh and bone from Nuada’s arm leaving him helpless.
In this painting, Streng wields his broad axe against Aengaba of Lochlann, Lord of the
frozen Northlands, who protects the wounded Nuada.
