T-REX 1971 Original Vintage Silkscreen Print

I have only 5 of these total in good to very good condition. You can see in the main picture slight damage at the bottom left corner.

I was, and still am to this day, a massive fan of Marc Bolan and T-Rex.

This poster was for the short-lived Dublin Arts festival of 1971 and it still is one of my best from that period. I had met Marc a few times in Dublin in the Bailey pub win the company of my friend Dorinda Kavanagh and Thaiveen Owen (son of Alun Owen, writer of the Beatles movie ‘Hard Day’s Night’).

I was always little in awe of this beautiful young English genius and his unique blend of mysticism and hard rock so I was delighted to get the chance to produce this poster for him for the band’s performance in Dublin. This gig was canceled unfortunately as there was no money to pay them in advance but by then the posters were pasted all over the city -and were nicked before the glue could even dry.
