Philip. Portrait 1981. Thumb to mouth.

This was an odd one. Philip asked me to produce a set of portraits for the band members; Philip, Brian, Scott, and Snowy White. He was happy with all the portraits but for some reason, he asked me to use another photo, one with his thumb to mouth, that was at variance with the other four works and I was quite surprised when it appeared as one of a combined montage of the band members. Philip’s portrait stood out ok…like a sore thumb. As a stand-alone portrait, it works but not as one of a set.
