Description

Macha was wife of Nemed, leader of the third invasion recounted in the Book of Invasions, the Leabhar Gabhála. She was a beautiful war goddess of the legendary Tuatha Dé Danann and was, together with the war-goddess Nemain and The Morrigan, were known collectively as ‘The Babhb’ ferocious Valkyrie-type harbingers of death, destruction, and ultimate doom.
