Description
GALLARUS ORATORY, Co.KERRY.
The timeless and iconic stone oratory of Gallarus is believed to be a very early Irish Christian church located on the Dingle Peninsula in County Kerry and is the only unrestored or rebuilt church building and the best preserved in all of Ireland. It is constructed of corralled stone just like the main chamber of Newgrange and has withstood over 1,000 years of Atlantic storms, a testament to the enduring skill of the ancient builders.
