The Che Guevara Painted Canvas
Reclaiming Che one brushstroke at a time!
I am painting this as part of my cause to reclaim the image of Che Guevara that I created as a symbol of protest against repression for the voiceless. As you well know it has been taken for capitalist purposes and its meaning removed so that the greedy and soulless can make money.
Every stroke of a brush on these paintings is a statement of intent, every one is a call to arms, every one is by my own hand only. Each brush stroke brings me closer to this image which I had left for decades to spread and in my own words of the time, ‘to breed like rabbits’.
This is the beginning of a big campaign to reclaim the image for good.
Next will be the ‘Warhol Che’ which I now own as the Warhol Institute has acknowledged that the nine images on that famous version by Andy Warhol or his assistant, Gerard Malanga -it is uncertain which one or both -used my image complete with my hidden logo on all nine, so it’s now mine. Yep, I own a Warhol, the so-called ‘Warhol Che’, lock stock and smoking barrel.
The Painted Canvas
Now I am giving you the opportunity of a lifetime to own possibly the most iconic image of all time. These prices may seem large but they are but a gesture in comparison to the value to which they will increase over time and most unfortunately after I pop my clogs. 😉 Always look on the bright side of death 🙂
I only promote these myself through my website and social media, I use no agents or galleries so there are none of the ludicrous markups which can be anything from 40-70%. The flip side is that not too many people know that these even exist! You are one of the few in the know!

An Image for Everyone
I don’t want to sell these. I never want to sell any of my original art. This is my living, I am an artist and have no pension but if I am going to create these to sell I am going to do it on my terms and they are beautiful. These paintings are for collectors but I have never made this an exclusive image, in fact, you can download the poster image for free from my website now and print it off poster size. Obviously for non-commercial usage only!

anthony & leyla –
Was very fortunate to be in a position to acquire one of these beauties some years ago. My wife and I had saved some money to buy a car, but after a little consideration we decided to spend the money on one of these painted canvases instead of a heap of metal. Needless to say, we’ve never regretted it. It’s absolutely stunning, but nevertheless, to emphasise the obvious, it’s not possible to know exactly how stunning until you see it hanging on a wall in front of you! BTW, unlike a car, it hasn’t depreciated in splendour or value, quite the opposite.
