Both this and the Conán of the Fianna posters are still amongst my very best work and I later reworked these compositions into vastly more complex versions, but these beauties started life as simple line drawings. They were originally drawn for my book ‘Celtia’ and caught the attention of printers Hobson Morris who commissioned the two as silkscreen poster prints for sale.

They were colour separated by me, by hand, in layers and printed silkscreen in soft pastel colours and metallic silvers and gold.

These are open editions with a signed label by Jim FitzPatrick and printed by his son Redmond FitzPatrick from his studio in California.
