NUADA THE SUNGOD.
Nuada was king of the mystical race known as the Tuatha Dé Danann and leader of the fifth invasion of Ireland in earliest times before recorded history but is remembered forever in the myths and legends of Ireland, ancient and modern.
Here he is in a painting for my own book on the subject of the fifth invasion titled ‘The Book of Conquests’.
‘It was then that the first magical warp-spasm of battle-rage seized Nuada….. Then Nuada, in his Sun-God’s glory and terror, called across the skies to the Riders of the Shí, the Faerie host and across the skies, at his bidding they came. A crowd of wraith-like warriors, riding in terrible silence on winged horses’
